Sorry
but I get sidetracked with motorcycles now and then! This time its a 1997
Honda VFR750F I found on craigslist pretty cheap and not running. Honda VFR's
from 1994-97 have got to be some of the best all around street bikes made,
being fast comfortable and good looking. With gear driven cams, their V-4 motors sound great and are addictive once
ridden, so I couldn't pass up the chance to resurrect one. The slow
jets in the carbs were totally plugged from sitting, the forks were
corroded from being parked outside near the coast, the front rotors were
worn too thin, the top triple clamp was ruined from a key chain, the rear
wheel was dinged and the fairings had some damage. As of this point all
that stuff has been fixed except for a couple fairing parts I'm waiting to
arrive from an Ebay auction. In the pictures I also have my '95 VFR torn
apart so I could re-plumb the '97 to non-California
configuration, and get rid of the canister etc. The bike is now in good
shape and runs well.
